An Italy that is bouncing back, starting with the most strategic sectors of the economy: from large corporations to small businesses, the Live Shows at Smau Bologna || R2B saw those with an innovation-centred growth strategy gain hard-won recognition
Optimising manufacturing to boost product quality, creating 3D catalogues, ensuring greater consumer safety through sophisticated food product tracing systems, investing in start-up talent and innovation to keep up with market developments: these, then, were just some of the key themes that emerged from the direct experiences illustrated by 31 outstanding businesses which received (on 8 and 9 June, during the 10 Live Shows held at Smau Bologna || R2B) the Smau || R2B Innovation Prize.
Thanks to its Control Center & Data Management (CCDM) project - a digital platform, a 'brain' that gathers and integrates data from various sectors at a single point, cross-references statistics, aids identification of actions and provides a global view of the city - Hera was among those prize winners. Data of very different kinds- from air pollutant readings to urban security camera recordings - is brought together, processed and placed at the disposal of both administration and citizens.
New technologies and ideas play pivotal roles in the growth strategy of Hera, as the Group is particularly sensitive to the subject of innovation, one of the company's development keystones. At Hera, innovation focuses on improving services for citizens and providing effective tools for local town councils: these, in short, are the goals of the Control Center & Data Management project that Hera's Innovation Management is now implementing with several councils, bringing them a step closer to making 'smart cities' a reality.
