Sustainability has been at the core of Hera's strategy since its inception. The approach adopted by the Group integrates sustainability into planning and control systems and therefore into the management of the functions related to the economic activities we manage. This approach has been implemented in the balanced scorecard system, which involves all of our managers, and is reflected in our ongoing commitment to reporting results to stakeholders, as documented in the sustainability report. The report has been published annually since its inception and, since 2007, it has been published at the same time as the financial statements.
Competitiveness and sustainable development for local communities are the themes underlying the Group's approach to corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
Purpose, Mission, and values come together in the Code of Ethics, which is updated with the involvement of workers every three years. They are the foundations of behaviour at our company and the reference point for all the people working in our Group. This body of values is the strategic and cultural framework we use to draft our business plan every year and to report our results transparently to stakeholders. Finally, a balanced scorecard system allows us to develop our strategy in operational projects, which are an integral part of the management incentive system. This process is characterised by several initiatives for listening and dialogue with stakeholders.
