Hera's strategy

Business Plan Targets

The Hera Group has revised all its five-year targets upwards, first and foremost Ebitda, which is expected to reach 1.7 bn€ in 2028, which represents an annual increase of 7.0%. The Plan to 2028 calls for a sharp increase in investments too, amounting to more than 4.6 bn€, 250 million more than the previous plan (+5.7%) of which 2.4 billion are destined for development.The growth targets defined lead to a return on invested capital (ROI) of 9.5% to 2028, in line with the previous Business Plan. Earnings per share are expected to rise by an average of about 6% per year, thus supporting the increase in dividends, set to reach 17 eurocents by 2028 (+21% compared to the last dividend paid). The total shareholders return, which takes into account both the trend in expected profits and the dividend yield, is therefore confirmed at an average annual rate of about 11%

Scenario and Megatrends

The Business Plan to 2028 is developed within a particularly challenging exogenous context in which the Group has transformed challenges into opportunities and has drawn up a Strategic Plan according to a development model, balanced between all businesses and oriented towards all stakeholders needs, with concrete projects consistent with main national and international policies on energy transition, circular economy and innovation. The guidelines of the new strategic plan are developed according to 3 strategic levers: value creation, sustainable growth and strengthening of risk management and business resilience.
