- Old and new cities
Cities are now facing a new challenge: to adopt a new urban model capable of regenerating them, by combining innovation and sustainability to obtain new growth.
Attempts to ensure sustainable development for cities are based on the life cycle of a product and, at the same time, an analysis of the current and future state of five primary elements that constitute the city: waste, energy, food, health and data.

How to create the new city model
To guide cities through this change, a new urban concept has been developed based on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which consists of 17 objectives (called Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs) to be achieved by 2030, about ten of which are directly correlated with the environment and the development of cities.
