Code of Ethics
Who we are
The principles that steer our business
The "right" behaviour, our corporate ethics, is carried out every day within the company and in our relations with stakeholders, but we also need vision and commitment to face the environmental and social challenges that are so urgent that they require everyone's attention, including that of the companies.
Taking an ethical attitude means having the perception of the importance of these challenges and being accountable for them while developing one's business with a new approach to sustainability that aims to create shared value.
Our values and principles guide us and will always guide us towards achieving our mission and are the core our Code of Ethics revolves around.
What is a Code of Ethics?
A Code of Ethics is one of the instruments of a company’s corporate responsibility. It is instrumental in implementing practices of good conduct, a point of reference, and a guide for all those who work at Hera and those who have stakes in its achieving its mission.
It expresses the commitments and responsibilities Hera employees assume in executing all company activities.
As per Article 89 "Validity of the Code", a Code of Ethics is valid for three years, after which it must be reviewed and revised if necessary. After the first review in 2010, the second review was carried out in 2013, the third in 2016. The fourth updating of the Code took place in2019.
Sustainability and shared values, granting value to diversity and inclusion, mutual collaboration and cooperation, continuity of service and digital innovation, regeneration of the environment and circular economy are some of the concepts that characterize the latest update of the Code.

Trust and respect for the Code of Ethics
For the Hera Group, all relationships are based on trust. Directors, employees and collaborators must comply with this Code in their daily conduct. Any behaviour that does not comply with the Code of Ethics amounts to a breach of trust.
This applies to relationships with all stakeholders: customers, employees and associates, shareholders and the financial market, suppliers, the local area, communities and institutions.
