The CESEF, Centre of Economy and Management Studies for Energy Efficiency, has, for the first year, presented Energy Efficiency Awards to three energy efficiency projects that have been particularly significant in the national landscape. The awards, presented today during the 2015 CESEF Workshop in Milan (Cariplo Foundation) by the CEO of GSE Francesco Sperandini and ENEA (the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) Commissioner Federico Testa, aim to highlight national industry best practices and support the development of the energy efficiency market.
To promote energy efficiency, the Hera Group has adopted two different strategies in terms of scope and objectives. The first aims to offer traditional services provided by subsidiary companies, such as public lighting or heat management, primarily for public administration. The second is linked to the obligation to achieve specific energy efficiency objectives using the white certificate mechanism. In this second area, Hera has adopted a strategy that continues to retain its originality, i.e., the approach targeting industrial businesses via the energy diagnosis tool, which aims to encourage the implementation of projects in order to generate the white certificates required to meet specific goals.
The Hera Group, specifically, was awarded the Strategic Energy Efficiency Award"for its development and implementation over the years of an explicit and proactive energy efficiency policy that has achieved significant results".
