Paolo Cecchin
Production Manager at HERAmbiente S.p.A.
Born in Florence in 1962.
Since 2010 he has been Production Manager at Herambiente S.p.A. and is responsible for coordinating the management of waste treatment plants in all sectors (digesters and composting, industrial waste, material recovery plants, energy recovery plants, waste dumps) overseeing the optimisation of the effectiveness and efficiency of these plants, also in terms of technical and plant-engineering development, and monitoring compliance with permits and regulatory requirements.
He is Chief Executive Officer of Hestambiente and of Frullo Energia Ambiente and Chairman of Feronia.
He was Head of Waste to Energy plants in the Production Department of Herambiente S.p.A. from July 2009.
After gaining experience in the Falck Group as head of the Waste to Energy plants in Central-southern Italy, he joined the Hera Group and in 2002 took on the role of Director of Operations of FEA and subsequently became Managing Director of Ambiente 3000 S.r.l.
In 1998 he joined the Ansaldo group for the second time, where he remained for a further three years as head of the WTE plants start-up and management area.
In 1996 he became Project Manager of a multinational company in the Knorr Bremse Group.
In 1990 he joined the Ansaldo group where he held various positions in the design, construction and management of waste recovery and treatment plants, following in particular the "Waste to Energy" (WTE) plants. He followed all the phases leading to the industrial operation of a plant: from the preparation of the draft contract tenders to the start-up, testing and industrial commissioning phase.
He began his career in 1989 as an industrial plant designer.
As part of his activities he is a director of HASI S.r.l., HERAtech S.r.l., and Enomondo.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
