Purchasing and Contracts Manager
Born in Velletri (Rome) in 1978.
In August 2021, he became Purchasing and Contracts Manager of the Group Corporate Services Department of Hera S.p.A. He is responsible for establishing and implementing, in line with the Group's strategies and economic and financial goals, the procurement policies for the goods and services required to guarantee company operations and business performance, and also supervises the sourcing process, supplier approval and vendor rating, in order to ensure the strategic management of supplies. He also supervises and monitors particularly important contracts, actively participating in the creation of added value for the internal customer. He supervises the management of the relevant warehouses, adopting innovative models in order to improve the operational processes and ensure a correct and balanced management of stocks, according to customer needs and the economic goals of the Group.
From February 2019 to July 2021 he was Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager of Arkad S.p.A. (Milan), where he not only planned a new governance and the digitisation of purchases, but also replanned and organised the supply chain after the change of shareholders and the company's exit from ABB Group.
From 2017 to January 2019 he was Vice Chairman - Manager of Procurement and Quality Development of Danieli Officine Meccaniche S.p.A. suppliers (Udine), where he was responsible for the management and establishment of the global purchasing strategy, vendor management and contracts.
From 2005 to 2017 he was employed by ENI group – initially with Snamprogetti S.p.A. and later Saipem S.p.A. – where he held various managerial roles in the field of purchasing and contracts, both in Italy and abroad.
In 2014 he was appointed Country General Manager and legal representative of Saipem China and was responsible for the territories of Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzen.
From 2010 to 2014, he held the role of Procurement Regional Manager - Asia Pacific of Saipem Singapore Pvt Ltd, coordinating the operational management of procurement in the region as a whole, which also included the centres in Indonesia, Australia and China.
From 2007 to 2010 he was responsible for the Sourcing Centre of Saipem in Beijing, where he was responsible for setting up low cost sourcing initiatives for the group and scouting new suppliers on the Chinese market.
In 2005 he joined Snamprogetti S.p.A., where he was Senior Subcontract Coordinator of the Procurement Office in Milan on orders in Italy and the Middle East.
In 2003 he joined M+W Zander Italia, a German multinational company in the field of pharmaceutical plant engineering and microtechnology, initially as a buyer, and later as Purchasing Coordinator.
He started his career with the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, firstly as a thesis student and then as a collaborator.
He holds a university degree in Economics and International Policies - International and Diplomatic studies.
