Hera is the first Italian multi-utility to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), one of the most relevant international stock indices evaluating social responsibility, managed by S & P Global. DJSI includes the world's largest companies, basing this selection on their sustainability performance.
The Group achieved an overall score of 87/100 in the annual ranking announced on Friday 13 November 2020 and effective from 23 November 2020. This result makes Hera the number one multi-utility at a global level. Compared to the other companies in the index, Hera stands out mostly for its environmental and economic dimensions, together with governance.
An achievement even more remarkable considering that Hera simultaneously entered the Global index (Dow Jones Sustainability World Index) and the European one (Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index), while positioning as "Industry Leader" above the approximately 3,500 largest companies in the world evaluated by the DJSI (of which on average only 10% manages to enter the index).
