- The Leadership Model
Since 2010, the Hera Group has applied a solid, recognised leadership model. This is a dynamic model, constantly evolving, which focuses in particular on a number of distinctive elements: widespread participation, skills development and the key role of purpose.
Its main objective is to foster and reinforce excellence in behaviour.
The model acts as a compass for the organisation, guiding actions and promoting positive behaviours that support the achievement of the Industrial Plan’s objectives.
Purpose-driven leadership
At the heart of our model is Purpose Driven Leadership, which puts our purpose “Hera for the Planet, for People and for Prosperity” at the centre of individual action, with the aim of offering people deeper meaning in their day-to-day work, contributing to their psychological wellbeing and professional fulfilment.
The model structure: the four dimensions of leadership
We are aware that it is through our decisions, actions and behaviours that we can shape and implement the Hera Group’s strategy. This is only the beginning of a path aimed at fostering the evolution of people, which is essential to building and promoting collective growth. Each individual contribution drives shared success, and our collective commitment will enable us to achieve ever more ambitious goals.
The model is built around four dimensions that help interpret the role of leadership in a comprehensive way.
ME
Everyone is called upon to develop awareness, responsibility and the ability to learn continuously.
WE
Leadership is expressed through collaboration between people with different skills, creating environments of trust and participation.
TODAY
It means delivering solid results in the present, managing with responsibility activities and services that have a direct impact on the lives of communities.
TOMORROW
It means shaping the future of the company and the areas it serves, promoting innovation, sustainability and skills development.
Alongside the four dimensions, the leadership model identifies eight skills which help people turn values and strategy into concrete behaviours.

The four objectives that guide the way we work
A model built together with our people
Since 2010, our leadership model has evolved to support the development of the company and of the context in which it operates.
In 2023, the model was updated through a process that involved the entire workforce. This made it possible to strengthen existing skills and identify new capabilities needed to address the future challenges facing the Group.
For the first time, the model is being applied extensively to development processes involving all of the Group’s more than 11,000 people.
