Hera among the top 10 companies chosen by young people looking for a job

Hera Group was in the top 10 companies in Italy chosen by young people looking for work on the web. This was the result of an international study conducted by the Swedish research company Potential Park, which reviewed more than 1800 questionnaires completed by Italian students and recent graduates and then ranked the 30 companies based on the results according to those which best met the needs indicated by the young people. For example, they proposed mobile friendly sites where they could send a c.v. from their mobile phone, or which allowed them to discover opportunities and gain information about working conditions through the Internet and social networks like LinkedIn.

In the general classification Hera Group came in ninth place, ahead of large companies like Eni (12th place), Telecom (16th place) and Ferrero (29th place). On the other hand, it took second place in Italy in the “careers” category thanks to the section on the webiste “Working at Hera Group” . In general, Hera’s result is due to the commitment of web communication instruments, through which the Group website, which was recently upgraded and made accessible though mobile devices (smart phones and tablets) and supported by other channels like the company’s page on LinkedIn, the social network dedicated to the business world. It provides spaces totally dedicated to this Emilia-Romagna based multi-utility which, in addition to indicating vacant positions, creates an opportunity for getting to know the company and finding out all about apprenticeships and internships, training courses and schemes with universities and understanding how the selection process to join the company operates.

“This recognition makes us proud: we have always been one of the companies that invest more in people, training and corporate welfare. We also create many opportunities for listening to employees, like meetings between top management and workers and the internal climate surveys. Human capital is our main resource with whom we wish to share the distinctive values of our corporate culture” commented Giancarlo Campri, Hera Group Director of Personnel and Organisation. “The people we are looking for are above all operatives, like electromechanical experts and licensed plant operators, and specialists, with degrees preferably in Economics and Engineering, but also humanities subjects”.
