He was born in Ascoli Piceno in 1966.
As of 1 February 2024, Emidio is the Director of Water Resources, responsible for the management of activities pertaining to the integrated water service in the Hera S.p.A. territory; ensuring the planning and achievement of the Annual and Multi-year Plan objectives; identifying any corrective actions in the event of deviations; and pursuing the improvement of the service in terms of both effectiveness and efficiency. He is also responsible for pursuing the business objectives in his relevant area in accordance with the sustainable development of the territory and the protection of its environmental resources.
Since May 2022, he has been Head of Water Operations and has been responsible for ensuring the planning and management of the operation, maintenance and emergency interventions for the water and sewage networks and systems of the Water Division. Since January 2013, he has been Head of Water Supply Operations in the same Division.
In January 2000, he joined the former municipal company of Bologna, Seabo S.p.A., which later merged into the Hera Group, where he was first Head of Movement Bologna and Operation in the Waste Management area, in 2004 he was appointed Head of Operations, and from 2006 he was Environmental Manager at Hera Bologna S.r.l.
From May 1998, he worked as a Project Manager at A.T.C. S.p.A., where he arrived in 1995 as a Design Specialist; he was responsible for monitoring business performance by managing the budget and final balance of public transport activities.
After an initial consulting experience in the software field with Maior S.r.l., a company for the application of optimisation algorithms in public transport management, he became a consultant at Innotec S.r.l., a company that offers consulting services to companies on technological innovation initiatives.
In 1994 he graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna, and was awarded a Master's degree in City Management in 1998 from the University of Ferrara; in 2016 he obtained an Executive Master's degree in Business Administration from Bologna Business School.
