Strategy, Regulation and Local Authorities
Born in Milan in 1979.
Since September 2022, he has been Group Manager of Strategy, Regulation and Local Authorities and is responsible for supporting top management in the development of the Group's multi-year business plan, also overseeing the regulatory and legislative framework, influencing its evolution towards solutions favourable to Hera's development and ensuring communications and fulfilment of obligations to sector authorities and government institutions.
In addition, he is responsible for overseeing relations with Local Authorities, setting up interaction mechanisms aimed both at improving the Group's ability to provide answers to emerging issues regarding territorial development and promotion activities, and at supporting the maintenance of a favourable context for the development of corporate business initiatives.
Since 2021, he has been Strategy Manager within the Group of the holding Hera S.p.A. in the Strategy, Regulation and Local Authorities Department, having previously held the role of Head of Strategic Planning (since 2013) and Head of Strategic Planning and Policy-making (since 2018).
In October 2009, he joined the Hera Group in the company Hera Trading, which manages the production, procurement, import, purchase, sale and export of energy products; in 2011, he became Head of the Electricity and Environmental Securities Portfolio.
Since 2008 he has worked as an economist in the Research and Studies Department and in the Markets Department of the Electricity and Gas Authority, where he has also been involved in regulating the European electricity market (CEER and ERGEG working groups).
Since 2006 he has been a consultant and researcher in RIE, an energy and industrial research and consultancy company.
After an initial internship experience at the Directorate-General for Industry and Enterprises of the European Commission, in 2006 he was confirmed as a policy officer on a fixed-term contract.
In 2003 he obtained a degree in Economics, in 2004 an LL.M in Competition Law and Economics from the University of Rotterdam, and in 2006 a PhD in Law and Economics from the Luiss Guido Carli University.
