Francesca Leoni
Legal and Corporate Affairs Group Manager
Born in Bologna in 1980.
Since 1 December 2024, she has served as Legal and Corporate Affairs Group Manager, overseeing the direction, coordination and management of legal and corporate issues for the Hera Group.
She is also responsible for managing the Group’s external legal relations in support of all corporate functions, handling insurance and service contracts, potential disputes, and managing corporate relations with the Stock Exchange and Consob.
She joined the Hera Group’s Legal and Corporate Affairs Department in 2010 and held positions of increasing responsibility.
In 2008, she joined the international law firm DLA Piper (Intellectual Property & Technology department), where she provided consultancy on intellectual property, privacy, consumer rights, and product compliance. She assisted clients, including multinational companies in the ICT, media, biomedical, and fashion sectors in drafting and negotiating strategic agreements.
She started her career in 2005 at the law and tax firm Sciumè e Associati (Bologna office), where she primarily dealt with commercial law, intellectual property, corporate law, corporate restructuring and extraordinary transactions. She provided ongoing legal advisory services to Italian and foreign companies, mainly operating in the waste management, renewable energy and publishing sectors.
She holds a degree in Law from the University of Bologna, is qualified to practise law, and has earned an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Bologna Business School.
