Gabriele Giacobazzi was born in Secchia (MO) on 4 July 1949.
He serves as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Engineering of the University of Modena and Reggio-Emilia - where he holds courses in Town Planning Technique and Technical Architecture - and carries out design and consulting activities in the infrastructural, building, town planning and real estate fields.
He has been a member of buildings and construction committees and has held important positions for Local Authorities in the Modena area.
He has been Chairman of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Modena since September 2017 and Coordinator of the Federation of the Orders of Engineers of Emilia-Romagna since April 2018.
Between 2014 and 2018, he was Councillor for the Municipality of Modena with delegated powers over Public Works, Mobility and Infrastructures, and previously, between 2012 and 2014, Councillor with delegated powers over Town Planning and Local Planning.
He served as Chairman of Cooperativa Politecnica, Design sector, and Chairman of O.I.C.E., Confindustria’s National Association in the field of Engineering and Economic Consulting. He has carried out professional activities in the Town Planning and Construction sectors, supervising or coordinating a wide range of projects.
He is registered with the National Register of ANAC Examination Board Members.
He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering (Construction specialisation) from Bologna University in 1974 and has been registered with the Register of Engineers of the Province of Modena since 1976.
