The European AUDIT-TO-MEASURE project aims to help companies carry out the necessary measures to reduce their energy consumption and support the energy transition by developing and implementing a new engagement strategy (“Audit2Action”) to exploit the opportunities that emerge from Energy Audits.
The project has two main objectives:
the first is to develop an engagement strategy to implement the opportunities emerging from energy audits. This strategy (called “Audit2Action”) will combine technical/engineering tools and skills development programmes to overcome barriers to investment in energy efficiency and enable the industrial sector to utilise the opportunities identified through energy audits. The strategy will be based on an analysis of the current levels of market penetration of the various energy efficiency programmes in the selected sectors, and an assessment of obstacles and potential solutions. In this perspective, the impact of using energy management systems in the industrial sector will also be quantified and presented to corporate decision-makers in terms of energy savings, avoided CO2 emissions, investment needs and related cost savings.
The second objective is to increase the skills of top, mid-level and entry-level professionals within companies, in order to accelerate the implementation of recommendations emerging from energy audits. This will be done by implementing the previously developed 'Audit2Action' strategy, which will establish and launch a skills development programme to streamline the process of implementing energy efficiency measures, with the aim of involving all levels of management within the company, and among professionals and industry associations. Facilitating the participation of business professionals will be a crucial factor in the capacity building programme as this can help accelerate the adoption of energy efficiency measures, removing potential barriers and moving energy efficiency up the list in the decision-making priorities of companies.

KES will be the spot for public and non-public visitors to engage in and foster a fruitful and active collaboration between stakeholders such as policy makers, academia, (non-)government agencies, and industry players. It will contain guidelines to companies and energy auditors aimed at increasing their Energy Efficiency awareness and their willingness to implement Energy audit results.
