Hera BoD approves results as at 31 March 2024
Q1 2024 financial results up, compared to the same period in 2023.
The Group closed the first quarter of 2024 with all main economic results improving, compared to the equivalent period of the previous year.
EBITDA stood at 417.1 million euro, up 1.7%, thanks to the contribution of the integrated water cycle and the good performance of Waste and Other Services areas which fully compensate for the minor contribution coming from energy area.
EBIT rose by 4.2% compared to the same period in 2023; the positive effect coming from EBITDA increase is reinforced by lower depreciation and provisions which as at 31 March 2024 decreased by 1.7% compared to the previous year.
The overall value of net financial debt is equal to 3,986.6 million euros, a slight increase (+4.2%) compared to the value at 31 December 2023, while the net debt/EBITDA ratio* stands at 2.66x, in line with the multi-utility's historic prudential policy, reconfirming the company's financial solidity.
