Valeria Bortolotti
Valeria Bortolotti was born in Bologna on 22 March 1950.
Over the years she has gained broad and extensive professional experience in public bodies and private companies belonging to the service and industry sector, particularly in the fields of public and private construction, congress and entertainment organisation and management, and publishing and printing. Her work as a freelance professional has focused on business consulting, specifically administrative, accounting and financial management for companies operating in the services and industry sectors, and for non-profit associations that hold ongoing relations with public administrations, as well as accounting, administrative, financial and tax aspects, gaining experience in resource organisation and business management control.
Since 1989, she has worked as a freelance professional chartered accountant, legal auditor and labour consultant. As a freelance professional, she mainly focuses on providing global consulting to commercial, industrial and services companies as well as third-sector associations for the organisation and implementation of the accounting, financial and management control system, as well as for the drafting of financial statements and for tax and labour consulting services. Between 2006 and 2013, she worked as a consultant in Bologna Fiere Group joint-stock companies supporting intergroup relations in the area of financial statements and periodic management reports. Between 1996 and 2006, she was Director of Bologna Congressi Spa, acting as Attorney to the Chairman. Between 1986 and 1989, she was administrative director of Calderini Srl and Edagricole Spa, both based in Bologna.
Between 1976 and 1980, she taught Social Legislation and Social Psychology at refresher courses for the retraining of professional nurses organised by the Emilia-Romagna Region.
She has also covered offices in several companies. From 2008 until closure of the winding-up proceedings, she was Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Sintra Srl, and between 2004 and 2007 she was a standing member of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Linea Pelle Spa, a Bologna Fiere Group company. Between 1999 and 2006, she was a standing member of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Ferrara Fiere Srl, a Bologna Fiere Group company. Between 1992 and 1995, she was a director and member of the Executive Committee of Consorzio Trasporti Pubblici Bologna.
She has been a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants of Bologna since 1991. She has been registered with the Register of Legal Auditors since 1995.
She graduated with a degree in Political Sciences, political-social specialisation, from Bologna University.
