Alessandro Camilleri

Manager of Development, Training and Organisation

Born in Udine in 1973, Mr Camilleri holds a degree in economics and business studies and a Masters in management accounting and corporate finance from the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies of Turin.

He began his career as a junior controller at Martini & Rossi in 2000, working in the commercial area.

In 2001 he joined the Fiat Group, taking part in the Fiat Grade project, a managerial development programme aimed at training and fast-tracking managers with very good inter-sectorial and international skills. This led him firstly to CNH (Chicago, USA) as an Organisation Analyst in Human Resources, then, from 2002 to 2003, to Iveco France (Paris, France) as Commercial Controller, and then to Human Resources at Fiat Auto S.p.A. in 2003 in charge of the definition of HR processes for subsequent implementation into the corporate ICT systems.

From 2004 to 2007, still in Fiat, he had the opportunity to take on positions of increasing responsibility starting from the professional Development area, moving on to roles coordinating Human Resources activities for the start-ups in China and India, gradually gaining experience in the organisational structure until becoming Head of Global Organisation for the Brand & Commercial areas of Fiat Auto.

In January 2008 he joined the Group Personnel and Organisation Department of Hera S.p.A., first of all as Organisation Manager and later as Head of Development and Organisation. 

In December 2010 he was appointed Head of Development, Training and Organisation.

Since January 2012 he has been Manager of Development, Training and Organisation of the Group Personnel and OrganisationDepartment, with responsibility for defining and overseeing the corporate Human Capital evaluation system, proposing reference models for the development of meritocracy and leadership; defining and governing development, selection, internal mobility and training processes and activities, management of senior managers, job evaluation, compensation and benefits, organisation and change management.

He is also a member of the Confindustria-Assoknowledge Scientific Committee and a lecturer in leadership, corporate organisation and change management for various postgraduate Masters’ programmes.
