Hera at Coop with water labels
31/01/2012

Cutting-edge equipment, almost 400,000 analyses a year and maximum transparency on the web and with the "In buone acque" report since 2008. In this way Hera distributes good and safe water and all the information necessary for consumers to make informed choices, making its contribution to the next phase of the "Acqua di Casa Mia" campaign launched by Coop to raise awareness among consumers as regards informed decisions when it comes to water consumption. In January, a number of information points were set up with Hera technical staff in the Coop Estense stores in Modena and Ferrara and, more significantly, posters containing tap water labels were put up in the mineral water aisles of all the stores and other information materials provided.

Internal climate survey: satisfaction level rises to 64
31/01/2012

The fourth internal climate survey carried out in September 2011 with a questionnaire handed out to all Hera Group workers saw 63% of employees participate as opposed to 57% in 2009, with almost 4,000 people filling out the questionnaire. The satisfaction index, which has jumped to 64 on a scale of 1-100, has risen by 6 points compared with 2009 and 14 points compared with the first survey carried out in 2005. The generally positive nature of the results is distributed in almost uniform fashion across the various areas addressed by the questionnaire, showing that the improvement actions have produced positive results downstream of the previous survey. Further improvement measures are planned for the next two years.

CiboAmico launched in Hera canteen in Ferrara
31/01/2012

Back in October the CiboAmico project to recover unconsumed food was launched in the new Hera canteen in Ferrara, where 180 workers eat every day. Every afternoon volunteers from the Viale K association recover the containers containing the food, which are then consumed that same evening by the community of via Mambro. Around thirteen full meals are recovered and donated every day thanks to this initiative of strong territorial and social value, which brings different operators in the community together to create a charitable and sustainable network. Launched in November 2009 with the support of Last Minute Market, CiboAmico is now present in the five main Hera canteens and has already donated over 17,000 full meals, avoiding pointless waste and reducing the amount of rubbish produced.
