  New indicators to measure sustainability from corporate financial statements

  As part of the ABI CSR Forum 2012, the annual CSR Manager Network conference was held on 27 January in Rome, during which the first phase of a project launched by the association together with Istat was presented. The goal of the project is to establish indicators for measuring the sustainability performances of companies that are consistent with the information gathered by the Italian National Statistical System. The project, which also involves the Hera Group, will conclude in 2012.

  Hera and "My household water"

  On 12 January Coop Estense presented the next phase of the "Acqua di Casa Mia" ("My Household Water") initiative, launched by Coop in late 2010 to raise the awareness of consumers as regards correct and informed water consumption. Having promoted the consumption of tap water among the public, for the first time in Italy Coop will display "household" water quality charts in its stores, enabling consumers to consult the chemical and microbiological qualities of tap water also in the areas managed by Hera. This joins the Group's other awareness initiatives such as the water channel on the website and the report on the quality of drinkable water, 'In buone acque' ("In good water").
