Hera Group operates in the distribution, sale and trading of energy activities in close contact with the end customer.

While the distribution of gas and electricity are regulated activities, the sale and trading of energy are open to competition and are managed by Hera through separate companies (in line with sector unbundling regulations). These activities generate business representing over 65% of the Group's turnover.

Hera occupies major positions in methane gas sales (with sales of 2.5 billion cubic metres to over 1.1 million customers) and has registered high rates of growth in the electricity market (with sales rising from 1 Twh to over 5 Twh in the last 6 years).

Hera is also active in "energy services": complementary services offered to end customers.
